FAQ

Got a question about cake?
We've got answers!

Are you available on my wedding date to make our cake?

What flavors do you offer?

How much cake do I need?
  • A pretty accurate rule of thumb is that 75% of invitees will attend your wedding.   If you invite 200 guests, then you should plan on 150 attending.  For each of the 150 people you need a chair, food, beverage and dessert.

When should we cut the cake?

  • Definitely earlier rather than later.  People expect to eat dessert right after their meal.  Your wedding cake is the dessert.

Ideally, you will enter the reception, do a quick first dance, the ceremonial cake cutting and feed each other a bite, then begin dinner service or open the buffet.  That way the catering staff can go ahead and cut and plate your cake to be served as your guests finish dinner.

What's a stacked cake?  What does a floating cake look like?

How much does a cake cost?

I already booked you to make my cake.  When is the final payment due?

When will you deliver my cake?
  • Look on the first page of your contract at the top - approximate delivery time.

Where's a good place to have a reception?

I want to make an appointment for a consultation.  How do I do that?

Cake and buttercreme icing made from scratch.
No cake mixes, no bucket icing.  Scratch just tastes better.
