Congratulations to:

Chef Leah

Working with sugar, buttercream, fondant, chocolate and pastillage, Leah Stewart creates edible works of art.  Her specialty is using the bride's gown as the inspiraton for the design of the cake.  With gumpaste flowers, edible pearls, cast sugar gems and fondant lace, a wedding cake coordinates beautifuly with the most important dress a woman will ever wear.  Three of Stewart's creations have been on display in the Sullivan University collection--a white chocolate ladies hat decorated with handmade dark chocolate roses and white violets, a dark chocolate tall, gentleman's tophat and an art deco inspired pastillage vase filled with a bouquet of handmade chocolate flowers.

Leah Stewart holds a BA in History and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Louisville.  In 2001 she graduated summa cum laude from the National Center for Hospitality Studies of Sullivan University with a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.  She spends many hours baking in her professional kitchen in Louisville, Kentucky, and together with her husband, invite guests to stay at Gallery House, or to have a unique wedding or special occasion cake created at Louisville Wedding Cake by Gallery House.
